Holidays
Sheila and I have not been ones to spend many holidays in foreign parts with just a cruise on the river Rhine and two holidays touring a large area of Eire making up the list. We have though visited all parts of the British Isles with the exception of the far north west of Scotland and the northern Isles.
Space does not permit going into detail so will just refer to our visits to some of the islands on the west coast of Scotland.

My Favourite place, a beach on the east coast of the island of Beneray overlooking the “Sound of Harris” with the mountains of Harris seen in the distance. See the little red boat just coming into view in the centre picture. All pictures on the page can be clicked for a larger view.
On the 5 ¼ hour ferry trip from Oban to Lochboisdale, Sheila sitting reading. The dog is not ours it just needed the shade.

The ferry “Loch Bhrusda” leaving the island of Eriskay for the island of Barra, seen in the distance
