Holidays
Sheila and I have not been ones to spend many holidays in foreign parts with just a cruise on the river Rhine and two holidays touring a large area of Eire making up the list. We have though visited all parts of the British Isles with the exception of the far north west of Scotland and the northern Isles.
Space does not permit going into detail so will just refer to our visits to some of the islands on the west coast of Scotland.
Having had two quite strenuous holidays island hopping between most of the major islands and some of the smaller ones on the west coast of Scotland we have since taken a more leisurely approach. This includes, three weeks on Benbecula and Barra in 2004, Four weeks at Sidinish on North Uist in 2006 and four weeks at Ballygrant on Islay in 2008 and 2009. I will not go into more detail but have included a few photographs to give a flavour of these places.
