Modification Three
Occasionally, I find that I would like the stop screw in the left, or right hand fence position to be further forward so that the accessory being used can be moved further forward, see Photograph 3 which shows a left hand fence with the stop screw just visible at the end of the accessory being used.
To achieve this, I have reduced the length of the key in the fence enabling it, with stop screw, to be mounted further forward. See the drawings for modification three on sheet two.
Alternative mounting
See also my page showing an alternative method of securing the rest on its mounting surface. This is very well worth considering as it makes using the rest appreciably easier as there is much more freedom where it is positioned on the surface on which it is mounted.
