Whilst the title implies that this is a book for the novice turner it will be of interest also for those more able. The book takes the novice through to one being quite capable by the means of 12 projects, typically from a simple surface gauge, specially designed to provide basic turning, to a milling cutter chuck where precision and concentricity is vital.
The more advanced lathe owner will surely find some new techniques to add to his or her abilities, but also the various projects will provide items that are both interesting to make and ultimately useful in the workshop.
